Internships
Hawaii Literacy strives to provide a meaningful learning experience with benefits that extend beyond the internship period. Interns may work with our programs or main office to gain practical hands-on skills and experiences in the interrelated fields of literacy, education, social services, nonprofit work, and more. If interested, interns may split their time between two programs or between a program and work at our main office.
INTERNSHIP REQUIREMENTS
Interest in helping local keiki and families develop their literacy skills.
Must earn school credit.
Reliable attendance and dedicated work ethic.
Willingness and ability to assist program staff.
Patience, creativity, and dedication while working with learners.
